A beginners guide to alpaca fiber processing
We will start our class with the alpacas, take pictures, ask questions, halter and lead the alpaca on a walk. Alpacas can be taught to be very sociable with practice. Walking an alpaca can be lots of fun.
In this class, we will choose yarn to start to knit. Choose the tools needed to make a scarf. We will cast on, knit, pearl, and cast off. We will discuss how and make fringe, what is made from different size yarn, understand stitch markers.

If you have registered before May 16th then, On Sunday, May 16th you are invited to come see our harvest day This day is when we shear all the alpacas.
June 19th we will share our projects and celebrate fiber with refreshments. You are invited to join us.
The class size is very small, only 6 participates, so register today.
We are going to meet the alpaca, work with alpaca fleece and have fun. So to get started, enroll in the class. You can pay online for this class now, it’s a non refundable deposit, but store credit will be available if you can’t make the class.
