Frances is a great mom with plenty of milk and easy to re breed. She has given us some of the finest cria on the ranch. Watch the video listed here to see us cleaning her on shearing day. She is easy to handle.

We name our alpacas from a Gettysburg theme and Frances Clalin served in the Civil war as a male soldier even though she was a women. She served during a time when both the Union and Confederate armies forbade the enlistment of women. Women soldiers passed themselves off as men to serve in the Civil War.
