A beginners guide to alpaca fiber processing
Spend time with alpacas, take pictures, ask questions, learn to halter an alpaca.
In this class, we will skirt, tumble and wash alpaca fiber. Then we will talk about the difference between woolen and worsted and how to achieve these results. We will use a drum carder, combs and hand carders. We will blend fibers to get some really awesome rolags, roving or batts.

On Sunday, May 16th our harvest day when we shear all the alpacas. You are invited to come watch.
June 19th we will share our projects and celebrate fiber with refreshments. You are invited to join us.
The class size is very small only 6 participates so register today.
We are going to meet the alpaca, work with alpaca fleece, wash it, dry it, skirt it, tumble it, and card it.
